We've been talking a little bit about how to set up the bedrooms and when Selah will be ready for a big kid bed. I'm starting to think about how to decorate both bedrooms since we never really finished Selah's room, and the other room has serious issues with old cracked wall paper over wood. If anyone has any cheap-fix ideas, please let me know. We might have to do the brown paper like we did in our office, but that doesn't seem very "baby-like" to me. I'm sure there's something we can do.
I found a doctor. At first I was looking into having a midwife, but there aren't any midwives who deliver at the hospital in McCall. And since I don't want to have the baby at home and driving 2+ hours while I'm in labor is out of the question, going with a doctor just seemed to be the only option for us. I really like this doctor though and I heard good things about her. It sounds like she'll be on board with our choice to have the baby naturally and avoiding an IV, etc. I feel much better prepared to express my wishes since I have done it naturally already. That was a big issue for me with my doctors when I had Selah. They seemed to think that I was incapable of making decisions since I had never been through labor. But I stuck to my convictions and I am actually excited in a weird way to do it again.
We made a list of the things we need/want to have to be ready for this baby. These are the things we are hoping to find at a yard sale or if someone is getting rid of it. Hopefully we won't have to buy too much. So if you're close enough to keep your eyes open for us, that would be great. Also for those of you who are in Utah, we have enough family that travels back and forth that we could easily get a big item from there to here. Thanks for the help!
- Play pen
- Toddler bed for Selah
- Dresser, preferably with changing table top
- Double stroller, we really like the sit and stand kind since they are more compact
- Baby monitor
- Diaper bag that we actually like
- Swing
- Baby clothes, especially if we have a boy!

Hey Jess, Congratulations!! I'm so excited for you. Since Lexi is only 3 (almost 4) months old, I'm still using my baby stuff, otherwise I would send some to you. But I'll keep my eyes open for any of that stuff. There's tons of garage sales around here. Love ya tons, Love Jenteal
