Filling you in

So this post is mostly for people who I haven't talked to or seen in a long time. I thought I'd post a few pictures from the past few years - wedding, pregnant, Selah as she's grown. This is on my birthday Jan 31, 2004 we went with Jay and Haley and Jarem (you can see his hand in this picture) to Breckinridge, CO to see the snow scuplptures. There was a big storm and it took forever to get home. Haley was talking to us about "if you guys get married" the whole time...it got us thinking.

This is that same night. A little later when we were alone, Jared and I talked about our thoughts on getting married. We decided to fast the next day (Sunday Feb 1). We both knew from the momment we started our fasts. That evening we talked about it and since it was so overwhelming, we couldn't talk about wedding plans. Instead we made lists of kids names since that wasn't so real at the time.

Look, we're married! May 1st, 2004, coming out of the Denver Temple.
This is Jared's family. Travis got his mission call a few days before and went through the temple for his endowment the day before the wedding so he could be there with us.And here's my family who was there. Jamison was on his mission so he missed it.

We did everything very low key and pretty low budget. I trusted my mom to decorate and make things look beautiful and she was in charge of the flowers and food too. Jared's mom made our cake (it was purple as I requested) and everyone loved it. I made my tiara which was really fun. We had our family and a few close friends dress in our colors (girls purple, guys blue) instead of really doing bridesmaids and groomsmen. We had so much fun and didn't have to stress out with the planning.
