I know this is a late post, but I guess that's alright. This letter was written in November.
Happy Holidays from the Autrey family!
Well, another year has passed; and as we reflect on all that has happened in 2006, we are overwhelmed by how much the Lord blesses our lives. We have a sweet daughter, who is learning so much each day. Our employment allows us to spend a lot of time together as a family. And to top it all off, we reside in the midst of some of the Lord’s most beautiful creations.
Selah is 16 months old now and keeps us racing around all day long. Her current favorite word is “No,” which makes Mom and Dad insane. She runs, claps, waves and can say anything she wants. She is infatuated with most animals, but has a special place in her heart for dogs. In fact, she was Underdog for Halloween. We are confident that she is the most beautiful girl that has ever been created. Sorry, she’s not for sale.
Jessica is busy as usual and making life great for everyone around her. She takes Selah to story time at the library each week. She is always teaching Selah new things and being the best mom that she can be. She is the activity days leader for our ward and enjoys working with the 8 – 11 year old girls twice a month. She also enjoys being so close to much of her family.
Jared is also keeping busy with managing the hotel. He is taking a class online from BYU and also played a bit of ice hockey. He was recently called as the elders quorum president for our ward. He loves being a dad and husband and how enjoyable it is. He has also found a new love in grilling delicious meat, but even more so in consuming it.
As a family this year we have become more unified and stronger as we have relied on the Lord and each other. We have found this to be a constant in our lives and know that it will help us get through each day. We pray that you might find this to be true in your lives this year and always. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all, and to all a good night!!
