Playing Dress-Up

We had a lot going on for Halloween, and we seem to be behind a lot on blogging. I'm posting lots of pictures so they kind of got out of order.
We had a Trunk-or-Treat at church and a chili cook-off. Jared got a prize for the pumpkin decorating contest, his was a really awesome Spiderman.

Jared's costume was "Super Awesome," a hick dressed as a super hero.

Here's our little Dorothy. I made this dress by myself without a pattern or anything.

Ty made his costume with duct tape.

Hyrum hung out with grandpa while Selah and I went trunk-or-treating.

Everyone surrounding our trunk while Jared handed out handfuls of candy. I was Peter Pan or one of the Merry Men or something, I didn't really decide for sure. Emmy said I looked like Sir Robin from the Holy Grail and Selah called me Red Robin hood. (We went to lunch at Red Robin that day.)

We got a little family picture before we left.
Marisa was a Ninja Turtle.

A week or so before Halloween, Jared took these pictures of the kids playing with costume stuff.

Emmy went to a dance a week before Halloween. She wasn't going to dress up, but we talked her into it at the last minute. She got pretty creative with her 80s chick costume. That's my sock on her wrist.

Chipotle had a deal on Halloween that anyone wearing foil would get a free burrito. Here's Jared's foil hat and glasses.

Selah wanted bracelets and a necklace. They didn't last long though and we ended up covering a clip in foil.

On Thursday night we went to a party with some of Jared's friends from work. Emmy made her costume and did a great job. She was Tinkerbell.

Here's a group shot.

Wizard of Oz / Wicked people. Selah wouldn't stand by them without me. She also peed her pants (dress) in the first 10 minutes of being there, so we didn't get her in her dress for these pics.

And here is the Peter Pan crew. Jared and I made his costume and I used it on Friday.

We had a lot of fun making costumes and wearing them and getting free burritos.
