Christmas Eve

Emmy wasn't too excited about sitting on Santa-Jared's lap.

Check out her cute new jammies.

More cute jammies!

Aunt Ginelle got this doll for Selah in Guatemala. Her name is Deky and Selah loves her! Thanks Aunt Ginelle!

Getting ready to open their PJs.

Hyrum mostly likes drumming on his presents.

He's not in any of these pictures, but my dad arrived around 1 pm on Wednesday. For Christmas Eve, we went to Gramma Lollie and Grandpa Claus' for a mexican fiesta. The family tradition of having chicken enchiladas is very important to us...and very yummy! When we got home we read a few Christmas stories and then let Selah and Hyrum each open one gift...new jammies. Emmy got herself some new jammies so she'd be super cute in all the pictures and warm while she slept and waited for Santa to come. After opening them, we got the kids in their PJs and ready for bed. Then we read Luke 2 and talked about remembering our Savior's birth and life on Christmas and always. We sang a few festive songs, put out milk and a cookie for Santa, and the kids went to bed. Selah had a sleepover with Emmy on the floor since my dad is staying in Emmy's room. She was so cute and wanted to put her blankets on the floor and sleep right next to Emmy's makeshift bed. She slept great there all night long while visions of sugar plums danced in her head. Emmy watched part of The Snowman and we finished wrapping gifts and cleaning our house. Then we all went to bed so Santa could come.
