Wow, I'm always amazed at how good General Conference makes me feel. My testimony is strengthened and I feel excited to accomplish more and be a better disciple of Christ.
Both sessions on Saturday seemed very focused on dealing with trials cheerfully. It seemed like everyone mentioned the current economic crisis. At least three talks were about the temple specifically. I received promptings of little ways to do better. My goals are:
- Work on budgeting and keeping better track of finances
- Look at ways to cut back spending, even little things that seem insignificant
- Make a greater effort to be cheerful
- Remember that faith is the key to getting through trials, good will always come from them if we trust that Heavenly Father has a plan for us--even when we are the ones who messed things up
- Be more diligent about service
- Make a plan for temple attendance and follow it
- Remember that I can be just as faithful (and blessed) as the saints who live far from temples and save and plan for months or years to get to the temple (they are so amazing!)

I love conference too -although sometimes watching it with my children makes paying attention hard. :) (by the way - the pots I got for my tomatoes - star nursery sells them really cheap! )
