Pregnancy Update

I wanted to share a few pictures along with an update about the pregnancy. We're just about in the last month now, which I believe is the hardest part. I'm feeling really good though, and I'm not in a hurry to have this baby (at least not yet). My feet and lower legs are quite swollen, it has gotten pretty hard to wear most of my shoes for very long. I've been sleeping pretty well at night despite waking up a couple times a night with numb limbs and to use the bathroom. I feel so much better with this pregnancy than I did with the first one. I know it's because of my attitude. I decided early on that I was going to do all I could to stay positive and not focus on all the aches and pains with this pregnancy. It's amazing how much we can improve our situation just by changing our attitudes. We found a good midwife and will be delivering at her home which she is turning into a maternity spa. It won't be quite to the spa stage when I deliver, but most of her other remodelling will be done by then. I'm really excited about having the baby this way and I feel totally at ease with the care I will receive.

We still have a lot of preparing to do. With all the changes we've been going through these past few months we have left a lot of things to the last minute. Last week we bought a Pack N Play that will be Hyrum's bed for the first few months. That and a couple of sheets are the only items we've purchased so far. We still need to go through the boxes of baby stuff to find the few items that will work for a boy. It will be a lot of sorting to find just a few things to use. We really need to do some clothes shopping. We'll probably just buy a few basics to get us through the first few weeks for now. The only big thing that we want is a double stroller. We're hoping to find one in good condition from a second hand store or yard sale or something. I also really want a new diaper bag. We have been using a normal messenger-style bag as Selah's diaper bag and I have really wanted a real diaper bag for a long time. With Jared's new employee discount, we're planning to buy a nice one at Zappos.com. Yea! (I might get a pair of oversized, wide-width shoes to add to my maternity clothing as well.) I might create a wish list on Amazon.com in case anyone is trying to decide on a gift to give us. (Not that we're asking for gifts, or expecting them or anything.) If I do I'll add it to our blog in the sidebar.
The due date is December 17th for those who don't know or can't remember.

Hi Jes,
You're lookin good! Does it feel like the last 8 months have just flown by? I bet you guys are getting excited. The midwife spa sounds nice. I must say i don't think i would be strong enough to give birth without pain meds, i think its awsome that you can do it that way.
It looks like you guys are really enjoying it down in Vegas. There are actually places to go and stuff to do! how fun!
My doctor is about 7 hours from here so I will be staying with family after Christmas until I have the baby. I think it might be the longest part of the whole 9 months, just waiting!
Well good luck and I can't wait to see pictures of your new little boy.
