Torture

If you look closely, you can see a little red/pink spot on Hyrum's forehead. The cause: a ballpoint pen that his big sister decided to poke him with while I wasn't looking. I ran back in the room as I heard her saying sorry and him starting to cry. She's usually really good with him and has never done something so obviously mean to him. Usually she just isn't as gentle as I'd like and tries to roll on top of him or pull his arms backwards, but she's just trying to love him. I don't know what she was thinking this time, but she felt bad about it when she realized that it hurt him. He got this little red spot with a pen dot in the middle of it.
The following pictures are from the same day, so you can see the owie. Selah has these headbands that she plays with more than wears, she actually started calling them, "Peter Pan, Wendy, and Michael" (can you tell she likes Peter Pan?). She names lots of funny objects like a craft stick, "Stick," and "Stick's Mom," a puzzle piece. And don't forget about Stephanie and her mom (Selah's hands). Anyway, she started putting the headbands on Hyrum so I took a few pictures. He's such a good sport about being tortured like this. Hopefully she won't be trying to put makeup on him when she's 12 and he's 10. Siblings, what would we do without them? Also, notice the headband in her hair, it's barely hanging on to the back of her head. We love our funny kids!
