It's about time I document some of the milestones we have been going through with Hyrum.
I mentioned his teeth a while back, he got his first two teeth at 3 months, and has been trying to cut the two top and two more bottom ones since then. It has seemed so close for over two months now, I can't believe that they're still in the gums! Here's what they look like now:
He finally learned to roll over. He first did it on May 7th, making him about 4 1/2 months, but it's taking him a while to do it without struggling first. He does front to back and back to front, but seems to only turn one direction.
The latest thing he's trying to master is sitting up. He can do it for a few seconds, and then he falls over, but he's getting better and better. A few weeks ago, he started pulling himself forward in his swing and making it rock (the batteries are dead, so we mostly use it as a seat and push him manually every once in a while). We tried to get a video, but he was too distracted by the camera to show us his little trick. Here are a couple pictures:

We also just started feeding him rice cereal. He loves it! I'll have to post that separately with the video I took. I want to start making baby food, but so far I haven't bought any foods to puree for him. I haven't decided what should be first.
A few more things, he grabs his feet all the time and seems frustrated when he pulls too hard, it's pretty funny. He holds his pacifier but won't just leave it in his mouth, instead he chews on it and gets mad instead of falling asleep when he's tired. I have to hold his arms for him if I want to calm him down and help him fall asleep. We have been using the pacifier less because of this, and I keep hoping he will just decide he doesn't care about it anymore soon. Sometimes it really helps him calm down though. His eyes have turned brown, officially. Also, he makes the funniest sounds! He squeals like a little pig, and he makes growling sounds too. Jared can't stand it when he squeals because he sounds like a girl with how high-pitched it is, plus it's very annoying. We still laugh though. He is also ticklish and loves it when we play and laugh with him. Lately he's been responding with laughter to Selah a lot more. I can tell that she will be able to make him laugh better than us in a couple months. She is so good with him! She holds his hand in the car and tries to calm him down when he's sad. What a sweet sister!

Just in one month I can't believe how fast they grow! Cute kids! We need to get together soon.
Hello guys! We've been missing you! Ireland is a lot of fun, and we are enjoying every minute of it. How is the new pad? Hows the Bank? Hows the weather? Well keep in touch!
Lucas
